Kathryn Mills, MS, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist

The Red Willow Center, Missoula MT

Hello, my name is Kathryn Mills and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist.  I have been practicing professional massage for over 21 years.  In addition to my continued massage training, I have obtained a B.A. degree in Cognitive Psychology and an M.S. degree in Health Promotion.  This has been a part of my extended effort to get an in depth understanding of "the whole" human being.

I believe strongly in the mind-body-spirit connection and in our power to ultimately heal ourselves.  My ongoing passion is in helping clients to reach higher health potentials through removing blocks that may hinder healing.  Thusly, furthering your own healing away from injury, pain, dis-ease, and the stresses put on the physical body.  I also support and encourage healing through self-knowledge, healthy practices and community education.

I utilize many modalities and "tools" in bodywork and intuitively blend these to best help meet my client's needs on an individual level.  The modalities I have specifially trained in include, but are not limited to:

  • Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage
  • Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapy
  • Massage Cupping
  • Trigger Point/Acupressure Therapy
  • Aromatherapy
  • Therapeutic Reflexology
  • ReikI- Level ll
  • Craniosacral Therapy- Level ll
  • PNF (Facilitated Stretching)
  • Somatics Emotional Clearing/Polarity Therapy

My own journey with healing led me on this path.  I grew up in Virginia/Washinton DC area with a Foreign Diplomate father who exposed my mother, sister and me to world travel.  We lived in Manilla, Philippines for several years in the mid-80s and traveled extensively throughout South East Asia and Europe.  It was at this young age overseas that I discovered a love for the healing arts and experienced massage and Chinese Medicine's benefits first hand.  In suffering from injuries in several auto accidents, I received subsequent physical, massage, and chiropractic therapies.  I witnessed the power of touch and complementary medicines.  In time, I knew I wanted to support and help others in this way.

After I finished my pyschology undergraduate degree, I trained in massage at the Utah College of Massage Therapy and graduated in 1996.  I found my way to Missoula later that year and have practiced in this amazing Montana community since.  I love my work and am so grateful to be able to help other people.

It is wonderful that you are considering massage as a part of your health and wellness program.  I am happy to talk about how massage may benefit you.  Feel free to call or email with any questions and to make your appointment.  Thank you for your interest and I look forward to meeting you soon.
