Certified BodyTalk Practitioner
My path to becoming a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner is a twisted road. I was blessed to start a career in 1980 in hospital and healthcare administration with Providence Healthcare. Working with Providence gave me extensive experience in all phases of the acute healthcare model. It was fascinating work – but the acute care model clearly did not provide much value in the area of chronic disease and maintenance of wellbeing.
I have also been a lifelong athlete – pursuing wellness through exercise, flexibility, nutrition, and meditation. I have always used Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists and Naturopaths to maintain my health. The regimen worked well for a long time. However, in my 50’s, I discovered that injuries and accumulated job stresses were robbing me of health and vitality.
My search for renewed vitality led me first to Sam Wallace, DO and then to Kathy Mangan , Adv.CBP. I received BodyTalk sessions with Sam and Kathy and was so impressed I have now trained with Kathy to become a practitioner. Today I can hike, bike, ski, run and garden – activities that have been excruciatingly painful for the last decade. I still exercise, eat well, meditate, visit the chiropractor, acupuncturist and naturopath – but the addition of BodyTalk seems to be an effective life choice for me.
BodyTalk is a health care modality focused on broken or conflicting communication and consciousness in the client’s body-mind. We rely on the normal, innate ability of all organisms to self-regulate and self-repair. Human beings are actually amazingly adept at repairing our bodies and managing pathologic influences. Unfortunately, we frequently find ourselves with more challenges to our health than our body-mind can address. Too many issues creates a communication and consciousness traffic jam – leading to the development of illness and degeneration.
To address this jumble, a BodyTalk session establishes a link to the client’s innate consciousness. From that link, we discover the client’s priority health issues and the communication and consciousness traffic jams that need to be addressed. The practitioner establishes protocols to return the client to health. The protocols that are discovered in the session are implemented at the end by tapping the client’s head and heart complex setting into motion the new priorities for the body-mind of the client to follow.
I am available for appointments at Red Willow Center for Health and Healing on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Most BodyTalk sessions take about 1 hour and are very relaxing and rejuvenating.
